  1. Cheers Guys......ordered from them yesterday, arrived today, fitted nicely, top class service as well. Thanks again for the advice.
  2. Thanks for the reply Eric, have you got any suggestions as to the "aftermarket" shop's/businesses? please....
  3. Ok guys I have a problem with a OS 46 silencer mounting problem....I have just bought a Great Planes AT-6 Texan, the problem I have is the mounting of the silencer, the cowl fits over the engine which is fine, but the problem comes when the silencer needs to fitted, i would have to "hack" most of the firewall away to get it in, and as the firewall is the stuctural part of the  fuse,  and I don't really want to do that. So I suppose the question would be, is there another type of silencer i could use? I know OS do a extention between the silencer and engine, I still think that would need some hacking.......the photo that comes with the instructions shows a double exhaust system that seems to come down at 90 degrees to the engine....So am I missing something? (my brain, not in the kit)  or does anyone know where I could buy such a piece of engineering? Thanks for your help .........fingers crossed on this one.
  4. Thanks Nick for that, Mmmm yes your right as far as the retracts go, they would look great going up and down, so probably will install them.......Like the idea of having a separate battery as well for the tracts, someone else mentioned that down my club also....will keep you posted!!
  5. Okay guys I have been building this for nearly a week now, Tailplane (or Stab as they say in americana) also the Fin (fin as they say in americana), Rudder (no more), I am nearer to building the wing's now, do I fit Retracts (Robart 605's) as suggested in the manual........I have a bit of a dilemma, the clubs field is not bowling green flat, but it's not too bad, a few of the guys have said it will be a problem with the retracts, ie bent legs and not fully retracting etc etc, and a few have said it will be okay.......Having also never fitted retracts before that may present itself as yet another challenge ........or do I go for a rigid wheel set up, not really scale is it!!...........anyone have any thoughts on such a major dilemma? (Tongue firmly in cheek) Ta!
  6. No worries David, please feel free............Well I bought one this morning from my local Al's, think this will take about 7-8........years to complete, so will post a pic in 2016......see you then!!!!  No, in all honesty it looks like a great kit, a bit daunting, but a bit at a time should keep me busy for a while. Really good instructions and plans, for what I can see at the moment (2 cups of coffee and light scan, seems to be ok, nothing too scary...yet),  Will keep you updated.
  7. Has anyone ever indulged themselves with one of these?, If so, what is the kit quality like. I suppose the question  would be, are Top Flite models any good!!!   I'm seriously thinking about purchasing one tomorrow......... ........the 65" Mustang. Thanks for any responses
  8. Wow!!!what a response, thanks to all that have contributed...I have linked them togeather now, they all seem to be doing what they should, ie, every servo to every contol throw !!!! I had a bit of "flutter" on the throttle servo, but ironed it out with the trim and the EPA setting. Thanks again chaps, much appreciated... I know where to come for more advice....I'm sure there will be more questions along the way.
  9. Just what I saw.....told you it was a numpty question........But, i will say there does not seem to be any instructions in the manual....... ...Cheers Lee!!!
  10. Hi guys, this is my first thraed, and probably a real numpty question, but having just purchased a Futaba 6ex-2.4........I am having a problem with the  "Llink Procedure", it states in the manual that  "Press down the  ID set switch"............Guess what i can't find....the "ID set switch".....could anyone point me in the direction please........thanks for any help regarding this. Also, would just point out that this is such a fantastic hobby, my first array into R/C planes......just can't wait until I go solo.......
