Peter Costello
I have an F16 - bought from Wholesale models last year but doesn't appear on website (now moved to Ashford models). It has fibre glass fuz, elec set up (4s)and has a pusher prop set up and it flies pretty well but has a fixed u/c. It weighs about 4.5 lbs auw and I am thinking of retracts for it. Out patch is pretty good but is not billiard table grass. This will be my first foray into retracts and you read/see so much about them. Thinking of elec/mech set up as they appear to be more reliable and less weight (am flying at about 130watts/lb so not much to play with!). Steerable front wheel complicates things? Alternatively, ditch the u/c and dolly launch BUT won't the landing (pusher prop) damage it? AH, just thought - foldable prop?? Any thoughts anyone?
