Dave T.
Can anyone tell me if normal cellulose dope is fuelporoof to 5% glow fuel? After using shrinking dope, do I need to coat the airframe with a fuelproofer? Thanks for any help Guys.
Bob Cotsford
a) no b) yes. Dope is only proof against diesel fuels, you really do need to fuelproof being especially thourough around the engine and tank bays were glow fuel will be used. PU varnishes, Solarfilm Clearcoat, Flair Spectrum clear, or any commercial fuel proofer will do it for low nitro fuels.
