Looks like you're on the right track there Decky.
Lower ailerons controlled by torque rods from a centrally mounted servo
with pushrods from lower to upper ailerons seems like a tidy arrangement.
A single powerful servo such as a 645MG sounds sensible.
I'd had visions of the Pitts plan showing pushrods & bellcranks installed in the
wing which I've never got to work well - hence my initial recommendation
 to use 4 mini servos.
Sounds like you've got it nailed.

I didn't realise the arrangement of aileron push rods was true scale until I studied pictures of the full size Pitts. Thanks for all your help Richard (and all), I'll report back on the result and may even blog the build when I get the chance to start it.
