Shaun Clarke
I have an Olympian 40 ARTF Trainer and is my first build. The factory covered wings are full of bubbles. Can I use a hot air gun/hair dryer to remove them or is it a case of pricking each one to let the air out? Has anybody heard of this plane or built one? It is made by Micro Made Models..I can find no info on them or the plane anywhere. I got the kit off a friend who had brought it a few years ago and never built it. Its an ARTF & needs servo's, radio gear, engine (I have an Irvine 40ABC MKIII). Its is my first build and I want to do it properly!
Tim Mackey
Well I guess the best answer is to try the gun / iron on the bubbles and pray. In my experience though, it usually ends up needing pricking with a pin, or sharp scalpel blade, then ironing down. I really wouldnt fuss too much on it, it wont affect the performance at all, and after a few outings, it will have some inevitable hanger rash anyway !never heard of the plane I am afraid. Shaun Clarke
Thank you. Yes nobody seems to of heard of it...have since discovered it is identical to an Irvine Tutor 40..its made in Greece (!) rather than the more usual China.
