john haz Posted December 14, 2010 Share Posted December 14, 2010 Hi Chaps, I have just fitted the new turnigy motor to my F18 fan housing & it seems almost impossible to find a 4, 5 or 6 bladed fan & adaptor to fit onto the 3mm shaft !! Anybody know of a good source for EDF fans or completed fan + housing units that might do the job please ??? john haz Posted December 14, 2010 Author Share Posted December 14, 2010 Thanks Dizz. i have gone square eyed looking over the GC stock but they have no matching shaft & impellers in stock @ 64mm. Emailed 3 different RC suppliers today to ask & got the grand sum of 0.00 replies But, I put my thinking head on (difficult when one is terminally stupid) & have sorted it I had an impeller and shaft for a 2mm motor shaft which was a press fit. I carefully drilled it out to 3mm & then drilled the sides, tapped them & inserted grub screws.
