Tony Smith 7
Try running the command ... nslookup www.rcgroups.com You should get something similar to this ..... G>nslookup www.rcgroups.comServer: xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xx.xxAddress: xxx.xxx.xx.xxxNon-authoritative answer:Name: rcgroups.comAddress: 66.228.117.24Aliases: www.rcgroups.com (the xxx stuff is where I've blanked out details of my internal network) If your ISP isn't resolving the name, then accessing by IP address may not work, since the page is likely to contain other references by DNS name rather than address. Chris 75
Success. Thank you all for your help. I thought that I wuld report what happened in case it happens to anyone else. I run AVG anti virus, SpyBot resident shield and Zone Alarm. I had tried suspending each of them & it made no difference but I uninstalled each of them and then reisnstalled & it now works fine. Which one it was & why I have no idea but I have a solution. Once again thank you all.
flytilbroke
Glad to see you out of the problem Chris, We only advise that we do not have a problem as that eliminates a global problem. Plus,,,, I answered your thread Leader
