It is one of those portable car starter batteries for when your car battery is flat, and this one also has a compressor built in. They cost about £35, which seems a lot less than in Machine Mart, Halfords, and the like. They are one of those 'when they are gone they are gone' items. Of course their real reason for existence is to provide a portable battery for powering lipo or nicad chargers, and for pressuring undercarriage retract systems. Romeo Whisky Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 If you have a B&M Homestores locally and don't need the compressor (which you can buy separately for £5) they have one of these for under £25. These things are brilliant as field chargers (had one for years) but they only have about 17A on tap so you won't charge many big lipos from them. Of course if you ever have a flat car battery they are brilliant at getting your car started too! My car's an automatic so can't push-start it. Got me started several times during the winter when the car battery was strugggling due to intense cold period. I wouldn't be without one.
