Tony Smith 7
A bit of a cautionary tale for me anyway. I noticed that the model was making a few more beeps than usual when the battery was connected, almost as if it was making intermittent contact. I didn't think much of it at the time, because once the battery was connected it didn't misbehave even when giving all the connections a good wiggle. Anyway I decided in the end to have a proper check, and found that the solder joint between one of the ESC cables and the battery connector was broken. It was very firmly held in place by the heatshrink, but clearly it was an accident waiting to happen. Note to myself - double check critical joints. I guess this one probably came about by disturbing the joint before the connector had properly cooled and the solder was still soft.
birdy
I've been there before too, but was lucky enough to find the fault before I flew.
