Bob Cotsford
as it says on the lid really. If I wanted to fit a 12 pin Ashlock for ailerons, flaps and retracts, would I need to cut all the crimped Futaba/JR/Hitec fittings from the extension and servo leads, or are they compatible with the Ashlock mouldings? Tim Mackey
Title = NoYes,the ashloks need to be fitted in place of the servo plugs, and the mating other half wired to a fly-lead which plugs into the rx.
Bob Cotsford
just to be certain the question came across, if I remove the current connector pins from the OEM mouldings (both servos and mating extensions), would they fit the ashlok housings, or are the crimped on pins and receptacles unique to ashlok? I like the idea of the single connector, but don't fancy shelling out for the crimper just for the couple of models with sufficient wing servos to warrant using ashloks.I wouldn't have thought there would be much variety amongst the crimped connectors other than the plating used
Tim Mackey
Ah, sorry Bob - I see where you're coming from now.TBH I havent tried that, but even the "socket pins" from a standard servo plug fitted in the one half of the ashlok - you still have to fit the correct "male pins" in the other connector half, and they are definitely unique to ashloks.
