Compo Dumo
I acquired and flew a plane built from plan by a mate. I had many enjoyable flights from it until losing radio contact and watching it bank into the ground. I'd like to build another, but my friend can't recall the origin of the plan and he's not sure of the name, but he thinks it was a "Mercado" or "Meracado". it was a mid wing plane with about a 60 span. Can anyone help?
001
I think it was called a Maricardo, it was in the X-List, reference RM85X 11/71 (Published in Radio Modeller Nov. 1971). Try contacting the X-List to see if the plan is still available.
Compo Dumo
Wow. What a quick reply. This internet stuff is superb- I googled Maricardo and found a couple of images within seconds, which confirmed "Maricardo" is correct- then looking further, it would appear that the plan was featured in RCM&E in April 2004! Neat coincidence.ThanksCompo
David Ovenden
Actually an updated version of the Maricado model was featured as a free plan in RCM&E relatively recently. Someone probably has the exact date I expect - and maybe a copy of the plan itself!
Allan Jordan
Hi David, I'm just going down to the w/shop to see if I have it in my file of RCME plans and build insts. Will post again later if I have it. Regards Allan J..TTFN...
