Del Wheatley
i've just been through a similar prob, bought a complete set up,the motor ran once then would just judder, turned out to be a faulty brand new motor.Edited By Del Wheatley on 15/01/2012 12:27:

Tim Mackey
Check all your connections are sound, and that nothing is binding. You could also try lowering the ESC timing and see if that helps. Have you got a wattmeter?
anthony dodson
no i havent i know a mate who has one,in what respect do you mean lower the timing on speedo this is all double dutch to me lol
Ben B
I'd also suspect timing. Did the ESC come with a timing card? If not I'd get one, trying to program via the transmitter is a pain!
anthony dodson
no it didnt come with a programme card reading instructions all the bleeps when on start up seem to be correct for a 2's lipo i went into the timing programme i think ive set it to low but still doing the same the motor is red hot the controller has got a shut off mode if its overheating so maybe its that??? with the prop off the motor will run without the problem??? Tim Mackey
The motor can be run with no prop ( advisable anyway when setting up )If youve checked all the other things suggested...then it sounds as though you may have a duff motor - assuming its not overpropped.
