John Cook
Hey guys I have a question? I "destroyed" my 3s 2500 Lipo- yes! I shut down for the night but I forgot to turn off my master switch. The battery therefore drove the receivers and servos right through the night and accordingly flattened one of the cells to where it does not even register on my balancing charger (FMA Cellpro 4s) I now have a need for a 2s Lipo .Can I use my defunct 3s or must I once again assign it to the waste bin? Not the paper bin , mind you. I am quite prepared to take it apart and try to resolder the connections of the remaining cells. That is the two remaining cells register OK on the charger. What do you advise
Tim Mackey
I have done this successfully, but you MUST be competent at soldering, and be CERY careful to avoid any shorting out of terminals during the work. If the cells have aluminium tabs (as many do ) extra problems arise, but you ma well be able to utilize existing wires.
