Olly P
Hi All, Well, I have decided to have a go at building a foam version of the Clwyd Queen at some point over the coming months (IF I get time). I think thebest way to cut it will be using a foam cutting hot wire bow. Unfortunatly I don't have one, or a variable power supply to make one - anyone in Stockport/Manchester area got one I can arrange the use of? This will be a while away yet - and I'll need to plan the best way to do the tapered wings, but help would be appreciated! Olly
Tim Mackey
Youre welcome to borrow mine Olly - not sure how you will get it though?
Andy Green
Olly, get Barry at Foamwings to cut your cores. It will save you a lot of grief. He'll just do the cores you can veneer them youself. Andy
Olly P
Andy - going for minimum cost, and I'd like to learn the skill as I have a few projects this could be used on, getting them all cut byBarry would get very expensive very quickly! Tim - very good of you mate, When/If I come to the Orme I'll give you a shout. Olly
Ben B
If you can find someone with an Icharger they have a foam cut function... which is nice. I've got two stand alone tx units but they're both miles away!
Olly P
I've just bid on a variable power supply on fleabay - I need one with a little more to give for charging my bigger lipos anyway, so worth a shot at the price this one is currently going for (what a pun!)
