Dale Gibson
Hi guys, as the title may suggest I'm interested to know if anyone has built an IC version of this lovely little model? Thanks Dale.
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
I'm sure it could be done Dale...but I suspect you might need to beef up the front end with a bit of extra sheet etc to take the vibration? Which engine do you have in mind for it? I would think a 1 or 1.5cc engine would be more than enough....
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
PS I've just tweaked the thread title....might attract more interest that way....
Stephen Jones
Hi , Dale , Before Tim`s Pix-E it was done By Colin Topps for Ic 2.5cc see Here . **LINK** In Radio Modeler 1989 Edited By Stephen Jones on 04/10/2012 17:56:

Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
I would think an OS10 would be about perfect Dale.....on an 8x4 or similar.... Maybe infill all the front between the balsa sticks with some 1/8th sheet & then add an internal 1/32 ply doubler back to the windscreen & taper this away to nothing by the mid point of the cabin. You might also consider fitting some beech engine bearers like in ye olden dayes too......anything to help spread the load & vibration into the main structure...... Let us know how you get on....
