JohnnyB
I'm in need of a reasonably priced Volt/Ammeter ( multimeter) for use in general electric modelling. As there seems to be so many out there, in the market place, I'd be very gratful if you could "point me in the right direction".
Tim Mackey
Well assuming you are not wanting to measure above 10A in the current range, the 2 for 6 quid offer or whatever it was was great deal from Maplins recently...not sure if they are still running it though? Most of them, even the cheapies, arepretty accurate ( for our requirements anyway ) on measuring voltage, and as I say, a good wattmeter style device is essential for the currents we encounter. This is the one which was on the BOGOFF offer, and is still great value even at normal RRPMETER
Bruce Richards
I have got exactly that meter and it is fantastic value. I also have a "Watts meter" which is very very useful for setting up eletctic power systems.Bruce
Tim Mackey
Yes they are fine, I actually have 4 of them, thanks to their recent BOGOFF offer

Tim Mackey
Well not really, as you can see here, I do use rather a lot of them
JohnnyB
Thanks for the info as always, Timbo. What do you normally use for for higher currents in power set - ups etc...Got my meter from Maplins today. Unfortunately, BOGOFF offer has come to an end, but still good value I think...... Hey, that is some set - up you've got there, Timbo - where did that come from... NASA?? John
