Nickaliath
Hello all, Im currently toying with the idea of fixing the wings on my topflite spitfire build instead of having them removable. The only thing im worried about is geting to the parts inside. I know i can make access panels on the plane to help get to the parts. Whats the general opinion on this? has anyone done it? Djay
The question is .. why? Apart from storage and transportation issues, there are no benefits of having the wing fixed. The access will be extremely limited even with access holes, and any tinkering, adjustments, fuel tank repairs, or general repairs will become a big issue. With the wings removable at least you can check and monitor the condition of all the components and struture inside before and after each flying session. Build as per the plan and instructions and you will not go wrong on this kit. Darryl
Wheddo
This is a bad idea, you need the access to radio ,tank etc .If you can't get to all parts easily then that's the parts that will go wrong.
Nickaliath
Ok, I will stick with the plans The main reason for fixing was to make it as seemless as possible
