New CAA fpv rules

Recommended Posts

Finally just read the latest BMFA mag and had to smile at the changes to ANO re FPV. (Some welcome changes too.)

In particular though, the rules re flying of large models with the just the FPV person in control. It has to be the person with line of sight. 'the pilot in charge cannot be the FPV pilot'. Mmmm. made me think about some VERY VERY large models that are flown from the USA with most certainly no line of sight to the model (which is half way around the World blasting off missiles at someone.) I know they have loads of fail safes and all that blah blah (but have been known to crash.) I guess the equivalent ANO's in the USA are different for the military. dont know
