Hi there

You do not need to enable the DX6i Gyro software setting for either model.

The gyro channel (Ch5, and on the DX6i and is by default on the Gear switch) can have two settings on the 120SR and MSRX, high and low. The setting will only control the roll and pitch rates and it activates built in dual rates in the helicopter receiver boad.

With CH5 off (gear switch at 0)
Servo travel moves between -85% and +85%, the swash plate moves the corresponding amount and the heli has less roll and pitch (it feels less twitchy)
and the main motor speed is lower.

With CH5 on (gear switch at 1)
This will give you servo travel between -100% and +100%, the swash plate moves correspondingly more and the heli has more roll and pitch (it feels more twitchy). The motor speed will reach maximum at full throttle.

This is basically the same function that is provided by the ready to fly transmitter (MLP4DSM) by pressing down on the right control stick to activate the "High Rates" mode.

I hope this helps

Happy flying
