GrahamC
I made a chin scoop from pink foam and glassed it for my TN 62 inch. However I've never fitted it as its position interferes with a conventional wing fix. If you have dowels at the front and nylon bolts at the rear, you can't permanently attach anything that stops the wing 'tipping' into position. You might also want to start looking for those thin wheels - finding wheels narrow enough can be a pain... although I'm sure I've seen someone on rcme cut wheels so that they are narrower. Don't be disheartened - more people read than comment! oh... And given your comment about warbirds and four strokes, I'm not sure I should tell you my plans for my spitfire! Concorde Speedbird
I already know your plans, please do not do that, she is such a brilliant aeroplane as she is and it would chop away all of the character. Thanks for the help, the problem is that I am rubbish with foam! If I can I will try to make one that can easily be removed for taking the wing off that is still lightweight. I've no idea where I will find some decent wheels! CS

MikeS
CS I would do a build blog. Apart from all of us watch you build the Spitfire it is also a good diary for you to look back on. I often return to my blogs for reference.Mike
