Phil 9
a VGA cable will give you video (but not sound) if you TV has the correct socket

WolstonFlyer
If you have a spare PCI or PCI-Express slot in the PC you should be able to pick up an entry level graphics card with HDMI for about 30 pounds. This will perform much better than a USB to HDMI adapter (because of the more limited data bandwidth in USB) and also cost less.
C Norton
No you can't use the USB socket on your TV, that is for memory sticks which appear to the TV as a disk drive. As stated above a new graphics card is the best answer though don't scrimp on it if you want good performance from your sim software, assuming your present PC can handle a modern graphics card. If you buy a new PC you should be able to transfer the graphics card over. Has your present graphics card got a composite video out socket? It is normally a yellow phono type socket. WolstonFlyer
The system requirements for the Phoenix sim are not very high so no need to spend a fortune on a high end graphics card (unless you want to play other more complex games as well). From the Phoenix Sim website, Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9800/NVidia Geforce Ti4200 with at least 128MB memory

Mike White 3
As it is a laptop a VGA to HDMI cable should work, about £5.oo on fleabay.
WolstonFlyer
Ahh a Laptop.. in that case ignore the new graphics card idea!Check the spec of the laptop (from the manufacturer) to see if the VGA port has a digital signal passthrough, if it does then a cable as Mike says will do the job with an additional audio cable, if the laptop VGA port does not include a digital signal (more likely on an older laptop) you can get a conversion box that mixes the VGA and audio togther to a single HDMI output. e.g.***Link***You would also need to get the correct cables.Edited By WolstonFlyer on 11/08/2013 18:21:
