bouncebounce crunch Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 Well, Health (Gall bladder- gone now after 4 attacks since Christmas) got in the way, months wasted and at times in agony. So to all that had a birthday congrats, and condolences to those that lost a loved one, whether of flesh or balsa. While convalescing in the infirmary I had a stack of old rc magazines packed to read through, and August 1987 RCM&E was a good one with a beautiful 1/5th Miles Gemini by David Vaughan as the feature(Model Magic) article, the Simon Cocker M-4 Bison was sitting on a grassy slope at Leek (featured in a reunion of sorts on this very site), Chris Golds had a transmitter design proposal, The WOO had his second article published, The disillusioned newcomer was an issue, blue foam was in use. We may have come a long way with technology, but really our hobby will always be the same, except for the prices; for richer or poorer here. now, back to the shed yeeehaaaa. bbc.
