john melia 1 Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 well i'm not getting much response about what paint to use , over on my other thread "sig koverall" so here goes in this new one ............................... i have finished covering the force one deltawing with sig koverall , and used butyrate dope to adhere the nylon to the airframe and to fill the weave with a bit of help from the mrs's talc i now need to find a primer and top coat i can use over the butyrate dope , and a laquer to make the whole lot fuel proof . kevin b Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I don't think you will have a problem with most primers and topcoats. I also think that some of the water based products now available have good fuel proofing properties, so it might not be necessary to laquer it. If in doubt try some on a scrap piece first. kevinb.
