AJ
Following a slight incident at the flying field I am just in the process of reattaching the tail end of my DF. Not wanting to upset the generally good flight characteristics I checked the plans for the correct incidences before getting the glue pot out. As far as I can see the wing is set at 0 deg and the tail plane at about +1.6 deg ie. leading edge higher than trailing edge. Can someone else with a plan check my maths and see if you get the same result pls. This then begs the question of why is the tail plane incidence positive? My understanding was that it should normally be negative to counteract the turning moment of the CoG against the CoL? As the plane flies remarkably well when built according to the plan then I don't doubt that this is correct, just don't understand why. Any thoughts?
