Bill Brownlie
Have one sitting in the garage waiting (and waiting) for the weather to improve to get a first flight with it. Can say though, the quality is excellent.

Ben Kelly
Well i have the 40 size edge 540 from seagull and as far as im concerned any seagull kit is worth the money and i would recommend it.

YakMad
Chris, It's a excellent model, I 've flown it with a Saito 100 and it's fine, the undercarrige is a little soft if you have a heavy landing, one other thing make sure you run a little CA on the aileron servo mount/plate as I had the mounting one come loose from the plate in flight!! the resulting landing (sorry crash) was not good
Chris Perkins
will do. what 2 stroke engine should i get i was looking at a 0s 61 fx or a os 91 fx thanks
YakMad
OS 91FX as this model will benefit from more power.

Bill Brownlie
Have now flown mine about a dozen times on two outings. I've put an SC91 in it and its not over powered. Flys great, though the elevetor is worth watching, its so responsive. I'm going to put a lot of exponential in it for the next flight. This is my first experience with anything as big and with a symetrical wing. Am having to re-learn how to land. I agree with the earlier comment the U/C is soft and needs straightening especially after my landings! Also, the wheels are a bit small for grass will be fitting something a bit bigger for next outing.Overall though, its great to fly, this is the first model I've managed to knife edge with any success. It just sits there with half rudder.
Mike Cotterill
HiI'm interested to know what engine is in the Edge 540 40 size as I have onbe with a SC72 four stroke using a 12 x 6 and it is very "lazy" flying.
Ben Kelly
I have an SC52 2 stroke in my 40 size edge 540 but as you say I find it hasn't got much go in it so I'm gonna change it for a 60 size 2 stroke and hopefully that will give it a bit more of an exiting flying experience. Mike Cotterill
Do you have any recommendations for a 60 2stroke e.g. SC / OS etc ? Are SC reliable ?
Ben Kelly
OS engines are very good and are reliable, however the SC engines are alot cheaper but they do have a bit less power. So if you are willing to spend the extra money then deffinetly get the OS but I find that the SC engines are just as good and reliable.
