TheFlyingCrust
About 3is this afternoon I spotted a Sea Vixen flying over Dorchester and West Dorset. It flew right over our house, but alas, no camera. It was in FAA colours but it wasn't close enough for me to see any identification. Beautiful. And amazingly quiet - must have been on low throttle. I wonder what the occasion was. The last time I saw one was when I was a mere lad living on Portland overlooking the harbour, and HMS Eagle (I think it was) was in. When doing sea trials around the island they used to sling them off her decks. Ian
TheFlyingCrust
Just done a quick search and found this. So now I know, and who was flying her. Ian
Wiltshire Flyer
There was one called "miss demeanour" would fly at the Bournemouth air festival, could it be the same one? Or am I hugely mistaken?

Colin Leighfield
Back where it should be, in the air! Can't wait to see it.
sharpy1071
The Sea Vixen took off from Bournemouth (Hurn) Airport yesterday (3/6/14) at about 2.55pm and headed due west towards Dorchester so you saw it just after I did in Bournemouth! I did notice the noise was not so great as it was in the past.
