avtur
I've had a lot of fun with my UMX Radian ... I've been surprised how it coped with a bit of a breeze .... unfortunately I've just lost it ... the prevailing breeze was a bit stronger than I thought, the poor little thing couldn't make any headway in the prevailing blow ... I had to watch helplessly as the poor little thing was taken downwind ... there comes a point when you have to turn the transmitter off ... its not nice but you know you have to do it ... Allan Bennett
Sorry to hear about your lost model. No chance of recovering it? Several of the lads at our club have invested in Loc8tors to help us find models lost in the adjacent field of oil seed rape. I velcro a tag into whichever model I'm flying. Cyclicscooby
Sorry to hear that Avtur.. I push my luck with my UMX Carbon Cub, sending it to great height, so it can float back down, but I guess the 2S makes that difference.. Regards Loc8tor, I use them on my cats.. Not an ace range, but if you know rough direction.... Gonna replace it, or get a UMX CC, to match your Sport Cub... It has flaps, so will appear to glide, a little bit like a radion.. Luv Chrisie.. xx
Codename-John
surely it would have been better to purposely crash it safely into the ground than just let it float off uncontrolled ? doesn't need to be making headway to go downwards
Wiltshire Flyer
Sorry to heat that mate 😢 I would have done as suggested above, but hindsight is a lovely thing ....
