The Wright Stuff
Posted by oldgit on 16/12/2016 13:20:24: TWS is that enamel paint ? Well, it's available in either enamel (round tins) or acrylic (square pots). I used acrylic, but I'm sure either would work...
Steve Goodwin
Hello TWS, I have recently acquired the Dynam Spit and read this build / conversion with great interest, sorry if I’m asking questions that have gone in the past, but can you help, I would like to repaint the model, but I am struggling to find the colour codes, do you remember what you used, thanks in advance. The Wright Stuff
Hi Steve, Thanks for your interest, and good luck with the repaint - make sure you post some photos when you've done!!! I used Revell 68 for the green, Humbrol 106 dark grey for the upper surfaces, and Humbrol 64 light grey underneath. Standard late war colour scheme for operations over the channel! Steve Goodwin
Thanks for your help, one further question if I may, did you reinforce the control surfaces?
The Wright Stuff
No Steve. I didn't see the need to. On my model at least, they seemed quite robust. I've had no problems so far...but then I don't fly particularly aggressively. If you stick with the stock 3S set up, and fly in a scale manner, you should be fine!
