Martin Whybrow Posted September 14, 2014 Share Posted September 14, 2014 Visited the Southern Model show this weekend and visited all the trade stands (shame not to see SLEC, DB Sport and Scale amongst others). Outside of Al's Hobbies stand was a great pile of end of line or returned items. I spotted a UDI quad marked at £20 and 'needs Tx'; took a look and saw this was the 818A which has a camera and everything was in the box; thinking I could probably repair a duff Tx, I bought one (there were at least 2 there). Got home today, opened the box and turned the Tx on - nothing; took the battery box cover off and there were no batteries; fitted 4AAs and we now have a live Tx; connected the quad's battery and it bound. Charged the LiPo, took it outside and it all works I am guessing that the original puchaser returned it with a dead Tx, not realising it needs to have the batteries fitted - they aren't included!
