tony cooper 2
Chaps. I Its time for a new mouldie but which one?????? I already have a couple of 60" gliders and would class myself as "intermediate" in the skill set and only fly for pleasure, but would possible think about some competition flying down the line. Planes on my radar are the "Typhoon" or "Tucan" from rcrcm or " the Schwing" or the Alex XL. All the suggested are 2m but I'm wondering if I should think of looking at a bigger size. I don't do any competitions at he minute but would like to think I might be able to do some in the future so possibly a f3f might be a better buy. Budget wise I'm thinking up too £500 for the airframe. Suggestions welcome!!!!!
Tom Satinet
2m is a good size. All the models you mention fly well.
Royski
As Tom said all good models however if you are thinking of having a dabble with F3F I am pretty sure the Schwing is not race legal (too pointy). Might be worth keeping an eye out for a used model This just sold on BARCS forum, models seem to come up at fairly regular intervals **LINK**
Steve Dorling
I much prefer the 3m or close to models - second hand bargains abound - Sting is a doozy to fly
