I haven't got round to building it, yet, but it's a nice kit. Didn't mr ellison do a review of one of the larger ones a while back in rcme? Speedster Posted December 13, 2014 Share Posted December 13, 2014 We got one in my RC Club, looking and fly great. Easy to build compare to Arthobby, because you dont have to cut aileron and flaps in the wing. The flaps and ailerons are hinged at the top, so the flaps can only go around 35 -40 degree Down. If I should have one, I would make the wing in one piece.And give the tailplane a layer of thin fiberglass, The tailplane go into flutter when going fast. Simon Cunliffe Posted January 1, 2015 Share Posted January 1, 2015 I pronounce it Blay-zick but that's just me, it.s probably nothing like that! I've had both the Mefisto and Hammer and they are both great planes. A lot of the work is done for you but the wing joiners are fiddly (well to me they were) but not a problem. Just take your time and think about it I will definitely get another Mefisto (crashed mine beyond repair... loss of signal behind stone wall) but the Hammer will still be my favourite of the two. russ d Posted April 10, 2015 Share Posted April 10, 2015 Maiden flight of my Mefisto in the Purbeck's yesterday, what a cracking light wind soarer ! Bought it from "Flying Dog" ready built with the servo's installed & finished glassed wings & tail, (V tail & thermal section), (my building room is our bedroom at the moment! so no sanding or gluing allowed). A couple of clicks of up, (removed after a bit of lead taken out to move the CG back after the first flight), and away she went, had three really good flights, need to reduce the elevator throws a little & I reckon the CG could go back a bit more (needed a bit of down when inverted).
