Bob Vaughan
Anyone help with this one please?. Just purchased a new WOT4xl kit and intend to fit with OS 22GT. On reading through the manual there does n't appear to be any reference to 'right thrust offset' when mounting the engine or indeed any detailed-ish advice on fitting the engine. I can clearly make out the horizontal and vertical centre lines on the firewall but cant find any real reference to fitting the engine. Has anyone recently gone thru this process on the build? Thanks in advance, Bob V.
Terry Walters
Hi Bob - I've just refurbed a very sad second/third or fourth hand Wot XL airframe and I am very very happy with the result. Like you I ummmed and ahhhhed about thrust line but as there was nothing bolted on the engine mount and stuck a new ASP 120 FS in with no offset land it is spot on! Mounted the ASP as a sidewinder and had to add 1oz of weight concealed inside the opposite wing tip. Flies just great - big smile time. Love it Cheers Terry
onetenor
Try with none and fly cautiously until you decide wether or not you need any. You probably won't but suck it and see.
