Greensleeves MkII Glider. C of G problem

I've just put the Maxford USA Greensleeves together, at long last. I've made no alterations to it but I can't get the c of g anywhere near the suggested point. Even after calculating the c of g myself, which pushed it back 8mm, I need 120g of lead in the nose!

The MkII introduced a new composit fuselage (heavier?) but otherwise it's very similar to the JP version. With motor, prop, receiver, esc and servos the fuselage weights 528g

I can't imagine how it could fly unless I drill holes in the rear end or build a balsa replacement fuselage!

Anyone else bought one and had similar problems?
