Mystery brushed motor

Hi all, I have a mysterious brushed motor from an Ugly Stik. The gearbox shaft is bent, but the motor's fine. I just don't know anything about it.

It's black all over, completely cylindrical and has "FULLY" stamped on the end where the brushes are. It seems to have excellent magnets too. It is about 2" long and 1" diameter. I assume it's 7.2Volt since that's what there is space for in the 'plane.

Thing is I need to know if it's a good 'un to fit in a 25" Sea Hornet boat which I have won for 99p of ebay! The model needs a compact motor as the shaft that's already in it is a bit low.

I have a Simprop 18-08 ESC, which I assume is 18 Amps. Should that be OK for this motor? I'm not interested in reverse. Boats rarely go backuds in real life and never steer backuds.

Cheers,

Martin
