Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Each year we run a Mass Build. The main purpose of this is to encourage those new to building from plans or kits of laser cut parts. It works by a group of us getting together, selecting a model then all building it together. The group contains a mix of experienced builders and those new to building - all of them blog the build as they go along. That way you have not just one but a number of step-by-step guides of how to do it and of course you can always ask questions along the way. In previous years this has been good fun, lots of people have managed to build their first model from scratch and gone on to be regular builders in their own right. At the moment we are just at the point of selecting the model that will be the subject for this years Mass Build. There are 5 models on the shortlist and you get to vote for three in your order of preferance. So why not make 2016 the year that you really get to grips with one of the most rewarding aspects of the hobby? Go to this page where you will find a brief description of each of the nominated models, along with a photo, and you can register your vote now! But be aware! Voting closes next Sunday 29th November at 21:00 - so don't miss the boat! BEB
Martyn K
Even if you don't vote by next Sunday, you will still be able to join in... Its just the vote for the model selection that closes next Sunday. We start the build (officially) on the 1st January although it may take a few weeks for everyone to get up to speed..
