Something more laid back than the large scale I've been flying for a couple of years now. I've just received my lovely ARF bird of time and a lightweight deck chair! My setup is Hitec Optic 6 tx and RX, Hitec Hs55 elevator and Futaba S3004 rudder. Now though I'm not sure about a battery. I was planning on a simple nicd or even use the standard receiver 4x AA pack if that's possible. Might as well use bigger capacity cells? Something like these? Cabbage Man Posted December 6, 2015 Share Posted December 6, 2015 For a simple glider , a 1000 mah Niimh is fine . Most gliders benefit from some ballast to get to a suitable weight and wing loading . I have a Cambrian 100 Elan and it needs ballast despite a light build.
