Dynaflite Bird of time

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I've decided I want to try slope soaring. Something more laid back than the large scale I've been flying for a couple of years now.

I've just received my lovely ARF bird of time and a lightweight deck chair!

My setup is Hitec Optic 6 tx and RX, Hitec Hs55 elevator and Futaba S3004 rudder. Now though I'm not sure about a battery. I was planning on a simple nicd or even use the standard receiver 4x AA pack if that's possible. I can't see the servos pulling too much power though I hope someone can help recommend something suitable. Thanks

Scott, a standard RX pack will be fine, but you might find that you need a bit of nose weight to balance.

Might as well use bigger capacity cells?

Something like these? I have a BOT and this size fits in mine, I'm not sure about the ARF though.

Btw, are you paragliding in your profile pic? A wee hobby of mine.

Scott.
