Sterling101
Hi folks, I've got a Limited Edition Vampire from HK and I needs some paint to touch things up a bit. Just been searching and coming up blank on which colours to use and wondered if anyone has any tips as to which colours are the closest? Cheers, Leigh
chris larkins
If all else fails take your model along to your local Homebase or B&Q store, I have done this a few times and they can scan the colour and mix up a 250ml tin which should match the paint pretty well, only costs a couple of quid too
Sterling101
That is an inspired idea!Time to take a trip down and see what they can do!Might get some bigger tins so I can use it on my Vulcan as well as that's ready for paint now too...Cheers,Leigh
Allan Bennett
If you know what colour it's meant to be -- e.g. many military aircraft used "light gull grey" for the underside -- you can look for Lifecolor water-based enamel paints. Hmmm ... seems like B&Q may be cheaper!
Sterling101
That's the down side, I know which colour's it should be by the official RAF paint codes but there's no telling if it really is those colours used on the plane.B&Q does sound cheaper and probably more accurate
