Dave Hopkin
Sadly due to commitments of member and council timetables, we were forced to hold out annual fun fly on the same day as LMA Cosford, I hope their turnout wasn't too badly affected A nervous week of weather forecast scanning preceded the event, day after day of high winds and rain, we were just about out of fingernails by Sunday Morning! But Sunday arrived, windy but not too windy massive sighs of relief all round!!! 9am at the field a group of us were busy collecting all the stuff from the container, stakes for the flying area boundary tape signage, cones........... I am sure it gets heavier each year 10am field boundary taped out, runways and taxi ways (re) mown, helo pad mown... BBQ set up, and people starting to arrive and still no rain! A good turn out this year around 30 pilots and 40+ aircraft, from a humble Bixler to the Turbines brought down by the Bickershaw Boys Some good flying and enjoyable (free) BBQ and natter quite a few member of the public watching from the boundary tape and seeming to be enjoying the free air show and the models An A Test taken (and passed) during the day – Congratulations Iain!!!! All in all a good day – see you all next year and lets see if we can get an even bigger better turn out Rest of photos here .....http://www.modelflying.co.uk/albums/member_album.asp?a=41746 Edited By Dave Hopkin on 07/08/2016 11:53:
