John Sheehy Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 Eric, just a suggestion. A second hard disk is not that expensive and would let you keep both operating systems. Tim Mackey Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 Assuming of course the mobo has IDE connectors - Part of Erics problem wass the SATA drive situation, and I experienced the exact same situation a week or so back with a freinds PC - Vista was corrupted to heck, and although he wanted to remove it all, and have fresh XP install, I coudnt get past the SATA drive /driver problem either...seems to me that VISTA is very unpopular, and certainlyly not as easy to remove and work with than XP....especially with SATA drives!!
