Assuming of course the mobo has IDE connectors - Part of Erics problem wass the SATA drive situation, and I experienced the exact same situation a week or so back with a freinds PC - Vista was corrupted to heck, and although he wanted to remove it all, and have fresh XP install, I coudnt get past the SATA drive /driver problem either...seems to me that VISTA is very unpopular, and certainlyly not as easy to remove and work with than XP....especially with SATA drives!!
