New display teams and something special for the ladies who are into paper crafting - well known Lisa B Designs (From TV Craft Channel) will be at the show to give demos so your wife could be the one who makes YOU come along... PETER BRUCE - Eastchurch Gap Posted July 5, 2017 Author Share Posted July 5, 2017 Hi folks - Weather for the whole weekend looks fantastic with hardly any wind. check out the video above as this FREE event which is subsidised by Bartons Point Model Flying Club as a way of promoting our hobby and if you buy raffle tickets that helps us a lot - because even the Saturday evening laser and firework display are at least as good as any you will have attended and it is well supported. (And at no cost to you). All it will cost you is the petrol to get here to Kent to have a great day out and the biggest advantage is we cater for all your family. - not only have you got all the aircraft that display with fantastic unobstructed and close spectator viewing but for the ladies you also have paper craft demonstrations by the lady who is on on the telly Hochander channel - Lisa B Designs. (If your wife is into crafting she will know who this is). Steam train rides, face painting, bouncy castle and as it's going to be 25C how about an attraction very few can boast off..... A GREAT - BLUE STAR AWARD - PEBBLE BEACH. (OK sand would be better but it's a great beach). And it's all Free - yes the Bartons Point Model Flying Club give you this great show free (you say that not us). I will take this opportunity now to thank all the display pilots who will be attending as they come because they enjoy our event and word has spread over the years how good it is. So come along and please don't miss the Saturday evening night flying and laser + firework display as you will kick yourself when you hear from your friends who stay how dam good it is - choice is yours. It was estimated by the local paper reporter we had around 3,500 spectators - mainly from the Isle of Sheppey who enjoyed the planes fitted with fireworks flown by Azza and Sonny (to the crowds delight) together with Conner Sloane flying his illuminated night flying 3D heli in the light and laser show put on by 2429 technologies. (Thanks Colin). I would have liked to show the night flying videos however the music copyright has prevented this on YouTube despite the club paying for a copyright license for the event but it does not allow for cover on any re-transmission of the music captured on the video = shame. One interesting fact to note is that the majority of people who attending have not seen any type of night flying at all - let alone with fireworks on the planes so the crowds applause is far greater for the performing pilots who really appreciate the crowds enthusiastic response. Listen to the applause at the end which comes over the loud public address system to get an idea what the people think of the FREE firework display put on by the Bartons Point Model Flying Club as a way of improving our sports profile to the local people young and old...
