Broken Prop
I have just bought my first outrunner motor. It came with lots of information about props and suitable batteries but nothing about how to mount it on the plane.I think I have figured that bit out, but why are there 3 leads from the motor? Just to help, they are all black........
001
Don't worry about the colour of the leads. They are not polarised in the sense of a brushed motor (there will be three leads, probably coloured red, black and yellow from the electronic speed controller), you cannot use a brushed motor ESC! If the prop turns in the wrong direction, just change over two of the connectors.....
Broken Prop
Thanks Richard. That is reassuring.I will check the ESC, however I bought all the electric bits at the same time from a well known supplier, so I am sure that he will have supplied matching parts. Many thanks for your help.
