Dave Kittle
Hi, I'm hoping somebody may shed some light on this. I purchased a second-hand Splendor and all seems just fine. ESC arms and spins the motor just fine, but when at idle with power on the ESC beeps once every 10 seconds or so. A member at our flying club said he'd never seen this before, but another though it was OK. It appears to stop when the power is applied. I have read that (for heli's) this is sometimes programmed so the flyer knows that the aircraft is powered up. Any thoughts please? thanks Dave
Nigel R
I have an ESC that does this. It has also been set up with a very slow initial startup. Both are heli features I believe, as you say.
simon burch
I had this once, I'm sure it was a warning for something. I'd have to look through some instructions but I remember something about having to re-learn the throttle curve before it went away. It didn't effect the ESC, but was a bit annoying. I honestly can't remember how I cause the problem in the first place. Was a YEP esc. Simon
Dave Kittle
Many thanks for the replies - I managed to get in touch with the guy I bought the pane from. he's confirmed that he programmed the ESC to beep to show it is powered up. Panic over!!!!
