Bernd Lewerenz
The first overview.
Bernd Lewerenz
Philip Kent recomments to start with the middle section. According to the picture, the middle ribs are interupted. AS well the rear main spar. I"am afraid, the wing could perhaps breake under load.( Philip does not know my flying style ) So I will make a little change and show it in the next picture after building

Bernd Lewerenz
the first step to build the wing. The ribs are glued only up to the area of the ailerons. That makes it easier, to build the aileron. Note: the four ribs in the midle section are 3/32 balsa, all other ribs 1/16 balsa

Bernd Lewerenz
The middle section.Contrary to the plan, main spar and ribs are not shared(interrupted). I think, that might be more stable.

reg shaw
Nice subject! I love this era of aviation. Are the plans drawn to incorporate the wing fold? Just seems a bit odd to build the wing with the rear spar pre broken! Still plenty of strength due to the struts though. Ian.
Bernd Lewerenz
The struts are made by two carbon fiber tubes. Very low weiht and easy to build. On both ends are quicklinks. The struts are glued together with epoxy and additionaly secured with shrink tubing
Bernd Lewerenz
Hi Ian, the rear spar is not broken.Of course not.The sheeting hides the rear spar at this point.Hope, I have understood your question.
