Terence Lynock Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 With Depron models and plate wings burying snakes in the Depron is a pain, the standard size snake outer is too large for the thickness of the wing.On eBay in the fishing section they have stuff called 'rig tube' and some of it is 'armoured' meaning it has a toughened coat on the outside to avoid abrasion on rocks etc and it is memory-free, they also have 80 Lb wire trace for Pike and sea fishing which is plastic coated, put the two together and you have a micro-snake about 2mm diameter.The armoured rig tube I buy in 2 metre lengths for about two quid with fifty pence P&P, a ten metre spool of 80 lb trace about three quid which is cheap enough I think, trace wire is usually high tensile steel so can be soldered which is a big help, regards.
