Bob Cotsford
the metal 2g *10 packs from poundland seem much thinner glue than the 10g * 5s - I've bought both recently from the Chelmsley Wood branch. Actually the 2g pack was bought for me by a workmate who asked if anyone wanted anything bought back from the shops and interpreted a pack of 5 bottles as a pack of 10 tubes. So how does that work, 50g of good stuff in nice plastic bottles with a few fine extension spouts, or 20g of watery stuff in rubbish metal tubes, both with the same brand label and both for one pound? Another good one from Poundland are their sets of three X-Acto look-alike knives with a dozen or so blades in a case for £1. The handles dont stand up to much, but the blades are pretty good. Also check out the rolls of double sided foam tape, more good value. I hope their supposed "5 minute epoxy" is ok as I've just used it to glue some carbon braces into my Katana's tailplane! 5 minute at what ambient temperature, 120C? It seems to be less rubbery than 5 minute Araldite, its more like the slower setting epoxies. That's ok by me, just as long as it sticks as well as the brand name stuff.
