trebor Posted March 6, 2020 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Could some one help, I want to update the SD card in my Taranis x9d+. I updated Opentx ok but never used companion to update the SD card. The last time I did it I had to move the files over and sort out sound files by hand as it were Now Companion is asking in Syncronize SD part, Sync direction ( both ways , to destination folder first ) and Existing files, ( copy only if newer and different folder first ) Is ths correct ? or do I change it ? Andy48 Posted March 6, 2020 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Avoid the synchronisation SD card! It is not immediately clear exactly what is happening there, and you can lose files. The way you did it before is the best way. Copy the SD card contents to your computer, update the SD card, and then copy the sound files back plus any other files you keep on the SD card such as firmware updates and model pictures. I copied the SD card before I started just in case, but it worked anyway The only drawback was the time it took. Its quicker to pop the card out and stick it in the computer.
