Robert Parker
Hi All, Well, my new airbrush finally arrived yesterday and today I spent some time going over the panel lines and dirtying up over the decals and giving the whole airframe a coat of fuel proofer. I would have loved to have gone flying today but I'm on-call for work, typical near-perfect weather today too, still got this job done instead so not all was lost and no callouts so far. Hopefully, the pilot won't be too long coming so I can finally finish the model. That's all for now Regards Robert
Robert Parker
Hi All, Neville Duke has arrived and in his new office Somehow this photo rotated during the download side view After a little adjustment to both pilot and cockpit he is in, Looking for 109's Neville duke standing next to his P40 somewhere in Africa All that is left to do now is paint up the canopy and glue it place. Robert Parker
Hi All, The P40 is now completed and awaiting engine running in and maiden flight. Gave her a photoshoot as the weather was nice. Barn door for flaps With all of the weathering, you can barely see what remains of the balsa splits Well it has taken a while to repair and finish the P40 but I am more than pleased with the final result, just hope she flies as well as she looks. That's all for now regards Robert
McG 6969
... great to see you well chuffed with your P-40 'resurrection, Robert. Wishing you all the best with your maiden... Cheers & stay safe, young man Chris
Robert Parker
Thank you, Chris, just found out today that the county our field is in is going into lockdown as from tomorrow evening so I'm not too sure when we will be able to fly again. I have only flown once since March due to the lockdown, work, and the weather so I'm well out of practice. Today was good for flying but we have a trotting track adjacent to our field so we do not fly when they are racing. I can now focus on the Junkers now the P40 is finished. You and your family stay safe Regards Robert
