Martyn K
I have just bought a Horus X10S Express and want to install OpenTX. I have watched the Joshua Bardwell video and am currently reading the documentation but is all seems a little dated. I have also checked the OpenTx website. Is there anything more recent or any gotchas that I need to watch out for? Thanks Martyn
Peter Christy
Just done this for a fellow club member! I have an X10S and he has an X10S Express! In Companion / settings / radio profile, make sure you select X10S Express as the radio. It is different from plain X10S! Otherwise, everything seems much the same. Also do make sure to back up FrSkyOS as described, as this is your "Get out of jail free" card! -- Pete Edited By Peter Christy on 29/05/2020 23:10:
Andy48
Nope. Dead easy. Install Companion on the computer first, and as Peter says you must use the right radio profile before installing on the Horus. Not quite up to date, but fairly close: **LINK**

Not quite up to date, but fairly close: **LINK** One distinction some folk miss is that you must chose the right radio profile even before you use companion to download the radio firmware. That's beacause it then downloads the specific firmware version, according to the profile choices you made.
