Hello all, after reading a few posts I thought I'd better introduce myself.

I'm a 60+ yr old liveing in west yorks area among the hills so to speak, having flown on and off for a few years with IC and Slope I thought about converting an old epp model Python wing from SAS.to electric.

Not having any experience with electric flight I visited a model shop and purchased a Simplex combo unit with a Elite 2208/18 outrunner motor with a Elite ESC15 and a li-po 1000 3s1p 25c battery.

As I say not having any experience of lecky flight I do I need another battery for my receiver or can I use the li-po? The esc has a connector for the receiver but doesn't that go into the throttle channel, how does the receiver get its supply?

Hopeing for a simple answer that I can understand as I'm baffled

Thanks for a great web site...........Mike
