Paul Williams
Good point Eric but what if you could get a cover like the ones they put on keyboards to keep out dust oil water etc.
Tim Mackey
telescopic aerials? - almost as quaint as crystals !
flytilbroke
A H€lic0p*~r (dificult to say) tray with the clear dome cover. Still need Wide brim hat and/or Gazebo for wearers. Long Aerial could still let the wet into trannie.
Lima Hotel Foxtrot
I think there is a good point to be made here. People moan about not being able to fly due to the rubbish summer, but aeromodellers are a hardy breed (as well as good looking, charming, great dancers and wine buffs) and tend to be the "improvise, adapt, overcome" type who can rig up some form of tx protection. Okay, maybe flying if it's raining sideways is not a great idea, but did that stop Shackleton? Or Livingstone, Cook, Feinnes etc, etc. Plus I get the feeling that a few people on here are ex-forces, so stand to and crack on! I know you're probably RN or RAF and therefore not nails like us Army types, but at least try to keep that upper lip stiff! No offence intended.
